OUR 4-STEP PROCESS
Initial Consultation
At Goat Design Build, our process begins with your vision. Upon reaching out to us, we schedule a complimentary Zoom meeting where we introduce ourselves and delve into your dreams, goals, process, budget, and expectations. During this initial design session, we'll walk you through our approach and address any queries you might have. Following this virtual meeting, our team pays a visit to your home to grasp the big picture. We then crunch the numbers and present you with the cost of creating the essential design drawings. Upon mutual agreement, we formalize the arrangement with a Design Agreement and outline a projected schedule for the design work. With the green light, we dive into the nitty-gritty, taking precise measurements, capturing necessary photographs, and documenting detailed notes on your space's current condition. We then present you with an overview of the project scope and an initial price range for your approval. Once the scope and budget are signed off, we shift gears to planning and development, transforming your ideas into actionable plans.
Design
Once we agree on the estimate, we enter the design agreement phase, marking the beginning of an exciting journey. You'll receive virtual 4K rendered walk-throughs of your project and work closely with our in-house design team to actualize your vision. Detailed blueprints addressing structural changes, electrical plans, and elevation drawings are meticulously crafted, while we assist you in selecting materials such as cabinet materials, tile, countertops, and plumbing fixtures. We then convene with vendors and subcontractors to finalize pricing. After presenting the updated plans, estimated price, and construction documents, we ensure you're well-prepared for the construction phase, stressing the importance of our meticulous planning to ensure a smooth and successful outcome. Once the final scope of work and price are signed off on, the construction contract will be finalized, and then the fun will truly begin.
Construction
Once all design selections are finalized and materials are delivered, construction kicks off! Utilizing our online project portal, Co-construct, our dedicated project manager will furnish you with a schedule featuring a tentative start date. Co-construct serves as a vital tool for keeping communication flowing smoothly throughout your project journey, allowing for easy access to messages, updates, photos, and inspiration. Upon signing the construction contracts, Goat Design Build prepares a comprehensive project timeline. We then conduct a pre-construction meeting with you to meticulously iron out the logistics of having construction take place in your home. A start-of-work notice and a copy of the timeline are promptly issued to all project participants, while selected products are ordered in preparation. Throughout the construction stage, we maintain close consultation with you, enabling us to seamlessly manage any modifications to the project design or product selections that may arise.
